Description
The remains of the West Milton Chapel tower, dating from around 1500, are constructed from dressed stone and feature plain tile pentice roofs. The tower has three stages. On the west elevation, there is a doorway with straight-chamfered jambs and a depressed arch head, leading to a 20th-century plank door. Above the doorway, there is a two-light mullion window with rounded heads, and higher still, a single rectangular light with a string-course that returns over it. At the top, there is a small bell opening, with a string-course and an embattled parapet above. The tower arch is now blocked and has a two-centred shape with one continuous moulded order.
