Description
Watercoombes is a detached house built in the mid 18th century, with a date noted in a 1737 indenture. The house features dressed stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends, which have stone gable copings and moulded ogee kneelers. There are 20th-century brick stacks at each gable end. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, which are 2-light wooden casements with glazing bars and pegged frames, dating from the 19th century or earlier. The windows do not have cills. The front door, located at the center, is from the 19th century and has fielded panels with two top lights. The ground floor windows and doors have projecting stone keys. Inside, the right-hand room features a stone fireplace with a square head and moulded jambs, dating from the 16th century.
