Description

A group of cottages dating primarily to the 18th century, though possibly incorporating earlier features; Purbeck Cottage (number 5) is from the 19th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed rubble. Number 1, 3, and 4 have tile roofs with stone slates to the eaves; number 2 has interlocking tiles, and number 5 has slates. The cottages are two storeys high. Numbers 2 and 5 have segmental arches above the ground-floor windows; number 4 has a brick surround, and number 1 has a shop front. Other window openings have wooden lintels. The windows are a mix of casement and sash types.
