Description
These are three cottages located at 52, 54, and 56 Goose Street, dating from the mid-18th century, with a datestone of 1763 situated between numbers 52 and 54. The cottages are constructed of rubble with pantile and triple-roman tile roofs, featuring a box dormer on both number 52 and number 54. They are two storeys high with attics and have a layout of 2:1:1 bays. Number 56 has sash windows with glazing bars set in plain stone surrounds, while numbers 54 and 52 have 2-light stone mullioned windows. The central door opening of number 56 is framed by a plain stone surround and features a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. Numbers 52 and 54 have door openings in bead-moulded stone surrounds, with number 52 having a 20th-century three-quarter glazed door and number 54 featuring a plank door.
