Description
No 23 and the attached outbuilding are a house and outbuilding from the mid-19th century. The house is built of random rubble with dressed quoins and has a double-Roman tile roof, featuring a brick stack on the left. It is two storeys high with two bays and has 4-pane sash windows set in plain stone surrounds. The central door opening has a bead moulded stone surround and a 4-panelled door. The contiguous outbuilding to the right is slightly lower in height, with a hipped roof to the right. It consists of one bay with 2-light casements, although the first-floor window is blocked. There is a plain door opening with a 4-panelled door. This building is primarily noted for its group value, as it complements the scale of the adjacent buildings on Goose Street.
