Description

Dyer’s Cottage is a 17th-century house that was refaced in the early 19th century, situated within a row of buildings on the north side of Goose Street in Beckington. The house is constructed of coursed rubble with a triple-Roman tile roof, featuring four stone guttering brackets under the eaves and a brick ridge stack on the left-hand side. The facade presents a symmetrical appearance. It is two storeys high with two bays, featuring sash windows with glazing bars in simple block surrounds. The central door opening is similarly framed, with a 20th-century half-glazed door. A cast iron Sun Fire Insurance plaque is positioned between the first-floor window openings.
