Description
Dolby Wolds is a house built in the late 18th century, featuring random jointed ashlar with rusticated ashlar quoins, a moulded cornice, and a parapet with plain coping. The roof is made of stone tiles with coped verges, and there are ashlar stacks with moulded caps at the apex of each side. The symmetrical facade has two storeys and three bays, with late 19th century four-light sash windows set in moulded stone architraves. The central window on the first floor is blank, consisting of a pair of semi-circular headed openings with prominent keystones and imposts. The central door opening also has a moulded architrave and features an 8-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed. Above the door is an edge moulded stone slab hood supported by cut stone brackets. In front of the house is a low rubber wall to the forecourt, with dressed segmental capping that extends 10 metres to the left and right of the central gateway, which has a 20th-century wrought iron gate.
