Description
Ceomar consists of two houses dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from random rubble, with some areas roughcast, and feature a roof made of concrete imitation stone slate and asbestos sheets, which has three different pitches and uneven eaves heights, resulting in an irregular facade. The houses are two storeys high and have four bays. The first floor has casement windows, with the first and third windows being ovolo-moulded from the 17th century, the second window from the 19th century, and the fourth window made of metal from the 20th century. On the ground floor, there are two pairs of narrow sash windows with glazing bars from the 19th century, along with a wide 20-light opening in a 19th-century style to the right. The entrance to number 49 is nearly central and accessed by two stone steps, featuring an edge roll moulded stone surround with a relieving arch above, and a 20th-century panelled door. The entrance to number 47 is located at the rear. The building is primarily listed for its group value with other buildings on Goose Street.
