Description

The Old Curiosity Shop is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of High Street in Stalbridge. It features white-washed coursed rubble and a stone-slate roof, comprising three bays. The ground floor includes a six-light rectangular bay shop front, which is likely from the early 19th century, and has a cove above that extends to form a hood over the door. The upper floor is characterized by a central two-light mullioned window with ovolo moulded mullions, flanked by two three-light plain mullioned windows. The windows have leaded lights and wooden lintels. The front door is wide and made of studded planks, and there is a stone stack at one end.
