Description
The Old Swan Public House is a former hotel that has been rebuilt in the 18th century from an earlier structure. It features a pebble-dashed exterior and a slate roof. The building has a steep roof and consists of two storeys with five windows, including four plain sashes in flush boxes. The fourth bay is likely a later addition or infill and is situated above a throughway. In the third bay, there is a 19th-century flush six-panel door with a hood supported by consoles. To the right of this door, there is a wide opening with a pair of plank doors topped by a multi-pane transom light. The left gable end has a brick stack, and there is another stack located between the third and fourth bays, which may have originally been part of the outer gable. The rear wall features three shallow two-light casements at the eaves, above a one-storey lean-to range. The interior has not been inspected.
