Description
Lansdowne House is a 19th-century, three-storey building located on Church Street. It features a gable end with one bay facing the street, topped by a slate gabled roof with crest tiles. The front is finished in pebbledash. On the second floor, there is a sash window that is four panes wide with a frame. The first floor has a splayed oriel bay supported by brackets, and it does not have glazing bars. The ground floor includes sash windows that also lack glazing bars. On the south side, five steps lead up to a six-panelled door, which has a later canopy above it. The north side is constructed of slurried stone rubble and has two sash windows that are three panes wide, each with architrave frames. Lansdowne House is part of a group that includes Nos 46 to 57, the Parish Church of St Michael, the churchyard wall and railings, and the Infants' School.
