Description
No 52 and No 53 on Church Street in Kerry are 19th-century buildings that stand two and a half storeys high. Each has one window bay and an outer doorway. No 52 is finished in stucco, while No 53 features a pebbledash front with a rendered band between the floors and rendered dressings around the doors and windows. Both buildings have sash windows; the second-floor windows in No 53 are three panes wide and project partly into the roof space, while the first and ground floor windows are four panes wide, except for the altered ground floor window in No 52. The windows in No 53 have quoined dressings and keystones. No 52 has a six-panelled door with the top two panels glazed and a frosted glass rectangular fanlight. In No 53, the doorway has quoined dressings and a keystone, with a modern door featuring cover strips.
These buildings, along with Nos 46 to 57, form a group with the Parish Church of St Michael, the churchyard wall and railings, and the Infants' School.
