Description

  1. GREENHILL 1625 (North Side) Belmont. Oversey. Seyco House (including rear wing to west). (Formerly listed as Seyco House andBelmont House) ST 6316 1/108 28.11.50. II GV 2. C18 building with later cement rendered front. 3 stony 6 window bay front divided into 3 bays by giant pilasters. Sash windows have early C19 moulded architraves and keystones. Glazing bars mostly altered. Oversey has good C18 doorway with engaged Doric columns. Vases in relief to entablature blocks. Dentil cornice and pediment. 6-panelled door with moulded strips to panels. Doorway to Belmont similar but plainer; depressed semi-circular fanlight. Seyco House has modern shop front on ground floor. Rear wing to Seyco House, to west, of stone rubble with plaintile roof; external chimney of stone, partly crow-stepped. In east side, 3 segmental headed openings above (2 doors and 1 sash window with glazing bars intact).

All the listed buildings on the North Side of Greenhill from Newell Cottage to Belmont: and on the South Side from Delta to premises occupied by Godden and Curtis form a group.
