Description

This is a 17th-century homestead, dated 1625, situated on Back Lane in Keld. It forms a pair with a later 19th-century building, Keld, and the two have been converted into a single dwelling.

No. 88 has two storeys and two window bays. It features a tile gabled roof and a front built of stone rubble. The windows are small two-light casements with small panes of glass. The lower windows are segmental-headed and have brick dressings. A modern door provides access to No. 88.

The left-hand portion of Keld has a single roof span, covered with slate, and has two windows above and one below. These windows are two-light casements with small panes, and the lower window is segmental-headed. A four-panel door, with the two upper panels glazed, is present. The Homestead section also has two windows above and one below, and features a modern half-glazed door.
