Description
Nos 6 and 7 East Street are a pair of houses dating from the 17th century, possibly built on an earlier structure. They are constructed from rubble stone and feature stone slate roofs with a ridge stack. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic.
No 6, located on the left, is a crosswing design with a blank gable light, a pair of casement windows on the first floor, and a central ground floor door framed in oak. There is a blocked light to the right and another casement window to the left. The north side wall has a pair of casement windows on each floor.
No 7, the main range, has a hipped north gable and two hipped dormers. It features four pairs of first floor casement windows with leaded lights, two of which are original. On the ground floor, there are two original casement pairs with leaded lights to the left of a plank door framed in oak, all under a single timber lintel. To the right, there is a 19th-century casement pair. The interior has not been inspected.
