Description

No. 8 East Street is a house dating from the 17th century, built on an earlier core. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with a central stack on the roof slope. The building has one and a half storeys, with a cross wing to the left. This wing includes a triple casement window above, a 12-pane sash window, and a plank door below, all of which have timber lintels. To the right, there is a plastered dormer gable with a three-light timber mullion window above a three-light cyma-moulded recessed stone mullion window that has a hood mould. The interior has not been inspected.
