Description
West Dairy is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features coursed stone walls and a thatched roof that is half-hipped at both ends. There are two rebuilt stone stacks on the rear wall. The building has one and a half storeys and three windows, which are three-light wooden casements with wooden lintels above. The front door is centrally located and consists of a two-leaf plank door with a wooden porch that has a pentice roof; this door dates from the 19th century. Inside, there is a ceiling beam with run-out stops, fireplaces with cambered wooden lintels, and a circular staircase with a plank door located on the back wall.
