Description
West Swilletts Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with tile creasing and stone gable copings. The building is two storeys high and has four windows on the front. The ground floor includes two 4-light stone mullions with cavetto detailing, each with separate labels above. The first floor has four Yorkshire sliding-sash windows. The front door, located to the left of centre, is made of wood with glass panels and dates from the 20th century. There is a gabled wooden porch over the entrance.
At the right end of the farmhouse is a service range, which is also two storeys high and one window wide. This section features a sliding sash window and a plank door on the left side of the ground floor, topped with a wooden lintel. Blue lias stone steps lead up to the loft area.
