Description
St James Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, likely with a through passage. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window front, with the entrance located in the second bay. The entrance features a six-panel door set within a thatched 19th-century trellis porch. The windows are leaded casements from the 18th century, with three lights on the ground floor and varying configurations of two, two, three, and three lights on the first floor. The roof includes stacks at both gables and is aligned to the right of the entrance. The interior has not been inspected.
