Description

Wren Cottage is a detached cottage, likely dating from the 17th century. The walls are constructed from a mix of stone, brick, and plastered cob, with the front wall featuring buttresses. The cottage has a half-hipped thatched roof and a brick chimney located just off center. It is one storey with an attic. An open brick porch with a thatched roof leads to a ledged door. The ground floor includes three casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic has one dormer with similar casements. The main room on the ground floor boasts a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and a bread oven, along with some exposed ceiling beams, suggesting it may have origins as an open hall.
