Description
The New Inn is a public house located in Church Knowle Village, with origins likely dating back to the 17th century. The building consists of two sections. The main section features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, along with brick end stacks. It is two storeys tall with an attic. A stone gabled porch with a segmental arch is present, and to the west of this porch is a blocked arched opening. The ground floor has two full-height windows with glazing bars, while the first floor contains three horizontally sliding sash windows, also with glazing bars. In the attic, there is one hipped dormer with casements that include glazing bars.
The eastern section of the building is a single storey with an attic, constructed with rubble stone walls and a thatched roof. It has a brick stack near the center and features a gabled porch with a segmental arch. The ground floor includes two casement windows with glazing bars, and the attic has one dormer with a similar casement.
