Description
The Cross Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with plastered infill, a sandstone rubble plinth, and brick stacks, along with stone rubble additions. The roof is tiled. The building has three framed bays that are aligned north-west to south-east and face south-west, with a later addition at the rear and further minor additions to the north-west gable end. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring two gabled dormers with 2-light casement windows on either side of a central half-dormer that also has a similar window. On the ground floor, there is a lean-to addition to the left with a 3-light casement window, accompanied by one 3-light casement window and one 2-light window to the left, as well as similar windows to the right of the gabled porch. The entrance includes a part glazed panelled door. The interior has been altered.
