Description
Pateshall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is built from sandstone rubble and features Welsh slate roofs with brick chimney stacks. The building has a rectangular plan that is aligned east to west and faces south, with both axial and lateral stacks.
The farmhouse has two storeys with attics. The south front is distinguished by five gables, each containing a blocked opening. The left end gable is partly hidden by a later addition that extends forward to the south. On the right-hand side, there is a 2-light casement window and a 2-light window from the 20th century. The first floor has two 3-light casement windows and two blocked openings. The ground floor features a 3-light window from the 20th century and a 3-light casement window to the left, with three blocked openings to the right. The main entrance is located at the rear, accessed through a 20th-century glazed porch. The interior of the farmhouse is not accessible for viewing.
