Description
Nos 15 and 17 on East Street are 18th-century buildings with a rendered exterior and a pitched slate roof. They feature a red brick chimney stack and stand two storeys tall. The front has three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded flush frames. The entrance to No 15 consists of a door with six moulded panels in a reeded frame. No 17 has two doors side by side, both in reeded frames, and next to them is a bowed shop window with glazing bars, flanked by a reeded pilaster. Above the doors and window is a fascia with a moulded cornice supported by elaborate cut brackets, with two lozenges positioned between the brackets. The buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 13 to 33 (odd), 37, and 39, with Nos 23 and 25 having local interest only.
