Description

This headstone, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 2.5 meters east of the John Roper monument at the Church of St Laurence in Upwey, Weymouth. It is made of Portland stone and stands about 0.45 meters high and 0.3 meters wide, featuring a rounded top. Each face of the headstone has a sunk panel with an inscription in capital letters, typical of 17th-century monuments, although no date is legible.
