Description
The boundary wall enclosing the grounds of Abbey House on the south and west sides dates from around the 18th century, with later repairs. It is constructed of stone rubble topped with stone coping and is angled in towards the north end at the entrance to Abbey House. The wall features ashlar gate piers that have moulded caps and small ball finials. There are two similar ball finials on the west wall to the south of the entrance, and another finial is located over the southwest corner.
