Description

The gate piers and wall to Abbey Park were probably built in the 18th century. The wall is made of roughly-coursed rubblestone and features ashlar piers. It serves as a retaining boundary wall for the churchyard and has an in-turned entrance. The wall reaches a height of up to 2 meters and has a gabled stone coping that has been patched with cement. The gate piers stand at 2.5 meters high and are adorned with moulded caps, plinths, and iron fittings. The wall extends approximately 60 meters to the north.
