Description
Lynton is a house in a row, built in the early 19th century with mid-19th century and later alterations. It features red brick in Flemish bond with dogtooth eaves made of brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and includes an inserted flat-roofed dormer, along with a shared brick chimney stack at the left end.
The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a single-window range. Each lower floor has a half-boxed sash window that includes coloured glass margin lights in the upper sash, along with painted channelled voussoirs, a keystone, and a sill. The dormer contains a two-light casement window. On the right side, there is a doorcase with a gabled hood, a round-arched architrave, a fanlight with radial glazing bars, and a six-panel door set in a deep reveal, leading up to a shallow stone step. The building also has a rendered plinth. The interior has not been inspected.
