Description
No. 19 Broad Street is a house in a row that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is primarily constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof that is hipped to the left.
The exterior consists of three storeys, with the upper part raised in red and yellow brick, and a cellar. The first floor has a single-window range with an 8/8 boxed sash window, which is adorned with painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. Above, there are smaller 4/8 sash windows.
On the ground floor, to the left, there is a canted bay window under a segmental brick arch with a pitched roof. This bay window has a moulded cornice and features sashes arranged in a 1/1:2/2:1/1 pattern, along with a cellar grille. To the right, the doorcase has a Classical architrave with pilasters and a steeply-pitched open pediment. It includes a shallow fanlight with radial glazing bars and a six-panel door, set upon a stone step. The building also has a rendered brick plinth.
The interior has not been inspected.
