Description
No. 12 Broad Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof with painted brick dogtooth eaves and a brick end stack on the right side.
The house has two storeys and a cellar, with a two-window range of 6/6 boxed sashes that have painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. On the ground floor, to the right, there is a similar 6/6 sash that incorporates a casement pane, and to the left, there is a 28-pane bow window with one opening casement pane, a sill, a plain cornice, and a flat lead roof. A cellar grille is also present. The central doorcase features an enriched architrave, a blocked overlight, and a 6-panel door. To the left, there is a round-arched doorway with a recessed plank door leading to a side passage known as Nash's. The building has a rendered chamfered brick plinth. The interior has not been inspected.
