Description

The pair of houses at 8 and 10 Broad Street date to the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern and have a Welsh slate roof with a wooden bracketed eaves soffit and two brick stacks rising from the ridge.

The exterior has three storeys and a cellar. The front features a two-window arrangement, with 8/8 sash windows on all floors, with smaller windows on the second floor. Each window has painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sills. The ground floor features two canted bay-windows with 4/4:8/8:4/4 sash windows and pitched leaded roofs, shallow cornices, and sills. Each side has a doorcase with a painted architrave featuring keystones and springers, a plain fanlight, and a five-panel door.

The interior was not inspected. The buildings stand on the site of the former Talbot Inn.
