Description

Westminster Memorial Hospital is a building dating from 1871, designed in the Gothic style. It features a tiled roof and is constructed of ashlar stone. The southeast front has two storeys and five windows, with a central bay that projects and is topped with a gable. This bay includes a three-light oriel window supported by moulded corbelling on the first floor, and a four-centred moulded stone doorway with stone columns on the ground floor. A moulded stone string runs at the first floor level and below the eaves. The windows in the side bays were originally mullioned, but most have been altered, with three original first-floor windows remaining. The northeast front facing Abbey Walk has three bays, with an additional projecting bay at the left end, and features Neo-Gothic stacks along with two and three-light mullioned windows.
