Description
Nos. 3 (Chapter House) and 4, Lane Fox Terrace, located in Sturminster Newton, are possibly a former school house and room, now serving as a house, dating from around 1800. The building is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof with a hipped end on the right side. It has two to three storeys and a three-window range. The windows are sash style with vertical glazing bars. On the right side, there is one ground floor window and two upper floor windows that are three-light stone mullioned and transomed windows, each with square returned labels and four-centred heads. The ground floor window on the right is partially obscured by a later lean-to structure. The entrance features a panelled door, and there is a continuous wooden wall plate located two courses below the upper floor windows on the right.
