Description
Number 23 on South Street is a building from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring ashlar dressings, a plinth, quoins, string courses, an eaves cornice, gable coping, and kneelers. The sides and rear have a chequered brick pattern. The roof is double-pitched and covered with slate, and there is a red brick chimney stack with ashlar cornicing. The building has two storeys and includes two ranges of segment-headed sash windows with glazing bars. There are also two doors with four flush panels located in the side elevations, with the door on the north side having a segment-headed fanlight above it.
