Description
This stable-block, dating from the late 18th century, is located 30 metres west-north-west of Sadborow House in Thorncombe. It features rubble walls with stone quoins and a brick gable-end wall. The slate roof has one stone gable coping. The building is two storeys high and has a five-window range, with windows that have stone jambs and brick arch-heads, complete with flush stone keys. The cills have been renewed, and there is one concrete lintel. At the centre, there is a doorway with stone jambs and a massive stone lintel, leading to a plank door. Additionally, there is a loft doorway with stone jambs and another plank door.
