Description

A pair of cottages dating from the mid-19th century, located on Church Street in Fontwell Magna. The cottages are constructed with walls of rubble and chequerwork flint combined with squared rubble, featuring brick dressings. The roof is slate-covered, with brick stacks positioned at the gable ends and between the two cottages. The cottages are two storeys high, with a three-window frontage. The ground floor openings have segmental brick arches. No. 48 has two-light casement windows with glazing bars, while No. 49 has two-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars.
