Description

Cleeve Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, though it may have an earlier core. The facade is largely hidden by climbing plants and appears to be made of rubble and ashlar. It has a half-hipped thatched roof with a central brick chimney stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The upper floor retains its original three-light wrought-iron casements with leaded lights. The ground floor features 20th-century casements, with the left window having full glazing bars and the right window having horizontal glazing bars. The window in the second bay from the right likely blocks what was originally a doorway. There is a 20th-century thatched porch with a part-glazed door on the right gable, and to the left, there is a single-storey extension made of banded brick and flint.
