Description
Cross House is a house dating from the late 16th century, with early 19th-century extensions. It features ashlar and rubble walls and a tiled roof with end ashlar stacks. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a symmetrical three-window range, along with an additional 19th-century bay on the right. The windows are square-headed stone mullioned types with returned labels. There is a central 19th-century porch, and the doorway has a chamfered, four-centred head with continuous jambs, leading to a plank door.
Inside, one room has a four-panel ceiling with moulded, intersecting beams, and there is a reset beam from around 1500 in the rear wing. The interior also features partially reset plank and muntin partitions.
