Description
Fontmell Potteries is an industrial building dated 1876, located on the north side of West Street in Fontwell Magna. It features English bond brick walls and a hipped slate roof, which includes a large ventilator. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice, and part of the roof on the left is flat, supporting a water tank. It is three storeys high with a three-window range. The openings are set under gauged brick arches with keystones, and the windows are mainly four-pane sashes. The upper floor has two two-light casements beneath a single arch, and there is a central plank door. To the left, there is what was likely a former vehicle entrance, which now serves as a showroom entrance. Additionally, there is a projecting wooden hoist on the upper floor to the left. The building is included principally for its group value.
