Description

Millbrook House is a house dating from 1846, located on the north side of West Street in Fontwell Magna. The house is constructed of Flemish-bond brickwork featuring flared headers, and has a slate roof with a brick stack running along part of the ridge. It is gabled facing the road. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window front. The ground-floor windows are three-part sashes with glazing-bars, each with returned stone labels. The first-floor windows are similarly detailed. The attic window is a single nine-pane sash, also with a returned stone label. Within the gable apex is a reset head of a 15th-century niche, upon which the date of the house is inscribed.
