The John Iles monument is a low stone table tomb located in the churchyard, 5 metres east of the east wall of the Old Church of St James. It dates from 1820 and features plain ashlar sides, a moulded base, and a rounded-edged top. The monument commemorates John Iles and may have been lowered from its original size.
