Description
No. 2 (R. W. Trocian) is a house and butcher's premises located on North Street in Beaminster, dating from the early 19th century. The building features brick walls laid in Flemish bond, which are painted white, and has stone dressings. It is topped with a Roman tile roof and has stone gable-coping on the left side, along with a 20th-century brick stack. The structure is two storeys high and has three sash windows with glazing-bars, which include a Venetian window in the center of the upper floor, complete with a projecting keystone.
On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window on the left, also with sashes, a plain frieze, and a small dentil cornice. The shop front includes both the house entrance on the left and the shop entrance on the right, framed by Doric pilasters and topped with a plain wooden entablature. Above the shop front, there is a slate pentice roof. The shop window is composed of seven panes in width and three panes in height, divided by glazing-bars, and dates from the 19th century.
