Description
No. 28 on Wheelock Street is a house, now functioning as a shop with accommodation, dating from around 1800. The building features Flemish bond brown brickwork and a grey slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three windows, creating an almost symmetrical appearance. The original door has been replaced and is set within a case that includes two three-quarter Tuscan columns and a pediment. To the left of the door, there is a shop window, while to the right of the door, there is one recessed sash window. Each upper storey has three recessed sash windows, although the original glazing bars have been removed, resulting in a four-pane design. The windows are topped with keystone wedge lintels and have projecting stone cills. The interior has not been inspected.
