Description
No. 25 Queen Street is a house, likely built in the early 19th century, constructed of red-brown brick in Flemish bond with a graded grey slate roof. The building has two storeys and features two windows. There is a brick plinth at the street level, with one 12-pane recessed sash window on each storey. The lower storey has a tripartite sash window consisting of a 4-pane, a 12-pane, and another 4-pane section on the right, while the upper storey has a replaced 4-pane casement window. The entrance front on the left includes a 7-panel part-glazed door set in a pediment case, and to the right, there is another tripartite recessed sash window. A blocked window is located on the left side of the upper storey, with a tripartite sash window on the right. The roof features lead-roll hips and a central chimney that rises behind a coped parapet, which steps up to each corner and is topped with urn finials. Inside, the doors are made of six fielded panels, and the staircase has a turned newel and stick balusters. There are round archways at the back of the hall and landing, and shutters in the window embrasures.
