Description
66 St Ann's Road is a house, likely built in the late 17th century, with some alterations. It has a rendered exterior with smooth quoins and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. There is a plain band at the first floor level. The entrance features a camber-arched doorway with an added porch that matches the style of the house. To the lower storey, there is one window to the left of the porch and two to the right, while the upper storey has two windows. All window openings have cambered heads with moulded keystones, which are similar to those found at No. 64 St Ann's Road, and they also have projecting stone cills. A chimney is located behind the ridge, slightly left of centre. Inside, there is a cellar beneath the hall and the left room, part of an inglenook bressumer in a later chimney breast in the right room, and a longitudinal stop-chamfered oak beam in the front bedroom, accompanied by a rougher cross-beam. However, late 19th and 20th-century refurbishments have destroyed or concealed other original features.
