Nos 10 And 10A (Part Of Victoria House)

Nos 10 and 10A, part of Victoria House, are 18th-century buildings located on the east side of North Street. They are constructed of stucco and feature a pitched slate roof with a 19th-century red brick chimney stack. The buildings stand two storeys high with attics and have a deeply moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. The long and short quoins enhance their architectural detail. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars. The mid-19th-century shopfronts include panelled pilasters and turned mullions that create depressed arches over each window. Additionally, there are two pairs of double doors, which are part panelled and part glazed, set in splayed recessed porches with panelled soffits. Nos 6 to 10 (even) and No 10A are recognized as a group.
