Description

No 1 on North Street is a late 18th-century building constructed from red brick, featuring a pitched tile roof. The gable ends are coped with brick and supported by kneelers. The structure consists of two storeys and attics, with a plain stucco string course. It has three ranges of sash windows that include glazing bars and rubber voussoirs. There are two attic dormers, each with hipped roofs and tile-hung cheeks. The entrance door has six moulded panels set in panelled reveals, and the doorcase is adorned with fluted Roman Doric half-columns supporting an entablature with open dentilled pediments, topped by a blind semi-circular fanlight.
