Description
The Manor House is an attached manor house that dates from the late 17th century but has been significantly altered and extended, particularly with the addition of a northwest wing in the 19th century. The building features rubble-stone walls with brick dressings and has slate roofs. It is designed in an L-plan, typical of 17th-century houses, with a 19th-century service wing added. The house has two storeys and two windows on the front, which are cast-iron casements with rectangular glazing bars and segmental heads. The front door is located on the gable end and is a flush-panelled design with a segmental head, also from the 19th century. There is a brick porch with a steep slate gable, featuring a two-leaf outer door that is half-glazed, dating from the 19th century. The rear elevation has been completely refashioned in the 19th century and is three windows wide, with two- and three-light cast-iron casements and canted bays at the left and right sides at ground level. A 19th-century porch is situated to the left of the center on the rear.
