Description

Manor Farmhouse is a manor house that has undergone various extensions and additions. It dates from the mid 17th century, with further developments in the 18th century, mid and late 19th century, and the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and brick, with a colourwashed and partly rendered finish, and features slate roofs. It has a partial rubble plinth and dentillated eaves, along with a single gable and single ridge stacks. The house is two storeys high and has six bays, arranged in an L-plan.

The windows are primarily glazing bar sashes and casements with segmental heads. The front of the house has an off-centre gabled wing. To the left of this wing is a 20th-century garage and a 19th-century outbuilding that has a lean-to plastic porch. To the right, there is a 19th-century lean-to addition. The gabled wing features a 20th-century casement, and to its right is a 19th-century porch in the return angle, which includes a glazed door and a casement. Further to the right are three sashes of varying sizes. Above this section, there is a casement to the left and three similar casements to the right. The return angle has a 20th-century casement, while the gable end contains a sash and a casement above it.

At the rear, there is an off-centre 19th-century door, with two casements to its right and a 20th-century casement further right. Above, there is an off-centre Yorkshire sash and to its right, four different casements. Inside, the house features a staircase with square newels and 17th-century splat balusters, along with two chamfered span beams with stops. There is also a 19th-century staircase with square newels and stick balusters, a stud partition wall, and an early 19th-century hob grate.
