Description
Middle Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1619, located in Chickerell, Buckland Ropers. It features rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable-copings. The building has 2 storeys and includes a central front door with a very depressed-arch stone head and jambs, leading to a 20th-century plank door with glass lights in the upper half. There are three windows with wooden casements. At the east gable end and at the ridge left of centre, there are 19th-century brick stacks. A 20th-century extension at the left front is rendered and has concrete tile roofs, but it is not considered of special interest.
